Ark Celebrates Six Years of Empowering Students at the Goodyear STEM Fair

Ark proudly served as a Gold Sponsor at the Goodyear STEM Career Day in Akron, OH, for the sixth consecutive year, connecting with 300-400 local junior high students to spark their interest in the technology sector. This annual partnership is one of our favorite ways to invest in the community and introduce the next generation to the world of data and digital infrastructure.

Sparking an Interest in Cybersecurity

During the morning information sessions, our team focused on making technology accessible, interactive, and exciting. Our booth centered on cybersecurity, by teaching students essential digital safety habits while highlighting the incredible career paths available in the field.

To keep the energy high, we loaded the booth with problem-solving and logic games like mini Rubik’s cubes, fidget spinners, and slap bracelets, as a way to spark conversations about the foundational skills of any great IT professional.

A Bleacher-Stomping Finale

The absolute highlight of the event happened after the morning sessions wrapped up. All the students gathered in the bleachers for the highly anticipated door prize drawings. As the kids stomped their feet on the bleachers to build a massive drumroll, Goodyear’s VP of Vendor Management drew the winning tickets. Seeing the crowd go wild is the perfect capstone to a day dedicated to inspiring future tech leaders.

We are incredibly proud to partner with Goodyear to make STEM education fun, engaging, and memorable. We look forward to next year!
